Summary:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Estimator is responsible for producing bid packages for new and existing projects in line with Company procedures and customer requirements.
Role & Responsibilities
- Creation of the bid package
- Maintain records of WIP, failed and won bid packages.
- Work in conjunction with Engineering, Customer Services, Program Management, Purchasing and Finance to support customer quotation requests to tight and aggressive deadlines.
- Effective escalation of threats or blockers to the bid submission.
- Communication with all levels of management and external suppliers.
- Active recording of ‘lessons learnt’ to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the bidding process.
- Identify improvement activities to drive the estimating process towards consistent best practices.
- Gain personal skills and experience to reduce reliance on external/internal staff for the creation of bids.
- Become proficient in the use of all relevant estimating software or spreadsheets.
- Create new items/assemblies/routings/BoMs within the inhouse systems database.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, including those related to Health and Safety, Data Protection and issued Employee Handbook.
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong commercial, manufacturing and engineering background with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to create method of manufacture for both development and production components.
- Good understanding of quality requirements within the aerospace industry – ability to read and interpret specifications.
- Proven and relevant cost estimating experience covering both manufactured parts, purchased parts and processing.
- Experience of constructing bid packages in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Ability to identify and communicate business risks when constructing bids.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Full understanding of multi-level / mixed BoM structures, with an understanding of fabrication, machining and assembly stages and methods.

Summary
This engineer is responsible for technical conformity of all products, providing technical documentation, introducing new capabilities while maintaining and developing Methods of Manufacture.
- Great working knowledge of creation and management of FAIR software.
- Good working knowledge of Document control to include ECR, NDA, DAR, Concession, Data Card, SOP, and quotation processes. Input of BOM’s, Routing’s, Rework Planning / Changes.
Role & Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for creation and management of new FAIRs and Delta FAIRs. Have great working knowledge of AS9102 and be able to deliver structured instructions to the shopfloor. This will include drawing balloon generation, inspection records and submission of data to customer portals.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Assures product and process quality by monitoring process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

As a proactive and competent member of the team, you will be responsible for the fabrication and final production of complex multiple parts to ensure internal and customer demands are met.
This role requires someone with extensive skills and experience of sheet metal working.
Responsibilities
- Compliance with all procedures and work instructions.
- Reading, interpreting and understanding of drawings, work cards, specifications and other relevant technical documents.
- Working with materials such as Titanium, Stainless Steel, Jethete, Nimonics and others.
- Working with thin gauge material 0.7mm to 1.6mm approx
- Experience of riveting and sealing applications

Reporting to: Production Planning and Purchasing Manager
Summary:
Accountable for the H&S, quality, cost, delivery and team management in an allocated work stream. Working within a fast-moving high-volume Operations department.
To lead the operational production teams to deliver best in class and flexible manufacturing performance in accordance with business objectives and strategic plans.
This will be achieved through the day to day effective leadership of a multi-skilled and multi-functional operations team to drive for superior results, exceed KPI targets, and strive for continual month on month improvements.
Role & Responsibilities
- To be accountable for the safe execution of the operational plan within your area.
- Lead by example with regards to working in a safe manner, avoiding accident or injury to people, damage to machinery or property.
- To ensure that all manufacturing activities are carried out in accordance with the instructions provide and that components produced meet the specified quality standards required.
- Maintaining appropriate approval and training system which ensures that all operators are adequately trained to meet the needs of their job function and to maintain written records, thus demonstrating that appropriate standards have been achieved and are maintained by individuals.
- Prioritises and schedules work to meet the business needs.
- Review and recommend production methods and equipment to ensure that the processes are performed efficiently and at minimum costs.
